Full Arms Waxing
Complete arm hair removal for silky smooth skin.
Booking for this service continues on the Charm Brows & Beauty website (opens in a new tab).
About this service
Full arm waxing covers both arms from shoulder to wrist, including the hands if you'd like them done.
Arm hair is finer than leg or underarm hair, so this is one of the more comfortable waxes despite covering a large area. The result is even all the way down, without the visible line a half-arm wax can leave if your hair is dark.
Regrowth is soft rather than prickly, and it lasts three to four weeks.
Please tell us about any medication before your appointment — retinoids, prescription acne treatments such as isotretinoin, and some antibiotics make skin fragile and waxing unsafe. The same applies to recent laser treatments, peels or sunburn on the area, and to varicose veins or broken skin.
What's included
- Consultation and check for contraindications
- Skin cleansed and prepared
- Wax applied and removed across both arms from shoulder to wrist, hands included on request
- Stray hairs tweezed for a clean finish
- Soothing product applied
- Aftercare advice
What to expect at your appointment
Allow about 35 minutes. Your therapist cleanses the skin and works down each arm in strips, from the shoulder to the wrist.
Strays are tweezed and soothing product applied. Pinkness settles within an hour or two.
Who it's best for
Anyone wanting completely hair-free arms, particularly if arm hair is dark enough that a half-arm line would show. Not suitable on broken skin or with prescription acne medication.
Caring for it at home
For the first 24 hours avoid heat and friction: no hot baths or showers, no sauna or steam room, no gym or swimming, and no direct sun or sunbeds. Wear loose clothing and keep the area clean and untouched — freshly waxed skin has open follicles and is easy to irritate.
From 48 hours, exfoliate gently two or three times a week. This is the single most effective way to prevent ingrown hairs. Moisturise daily too.
Tips from our stylists
- Let hair grow to about a quarter of an inch — roughly two weeks
- Don't shave between appointments; it disrupts the growth cycle
- Exfoliate gently from 48 hours afterwards to prevent ingrown hairs
- Avoid heat, sweat and sun for 24 hours
- Wear loose clothing to your appointment
- Book every three to four weeks to keep hair on the same cycle
Common questions
- Are hands included?
- They can be — just ask at your appointment.
- Is it better than half arms?
- If your hair is dark, yes — a half-arm wax can leave a visible line at the elbow.
- Does it hurt?
- Arm hair is fine, so it's one of the gentler areas. It's just a larger area to cover.
