Keratin Treatment (Short Hair)
Smooth frizz and add shine for short hair
Request This ServiceAbout this service
A full keratin treatment smooths the hair's surface, dramatically reduces frizz and cuts down how long your hair takes to style — often by a lot. This version is priced for short hair, up to around chin length.
It isn't a straightening treatment in the chemical sense: your natural texture is smoothed and calmed rather than permanently altered, and it grows out gradually instead of leaving a line.
What's included
- Consultation about your texture, frizz and hair history
- Clarifying shampoo to open the cuticle and prepare the hair
- Keratin treatment applied section by section
- Blow-dry and flat-iron sealing at controlled temperatures
- Aftercare instructions, including the initial no-wash period
What to expect at your appointment
Allow about two hours. Your hair is clarified, then the treatment is applied methodically through fine sections.
Your stylist then blow-dries the hair and seals the product in with a flat iron at the right temperature, which is what makes the treatment last. You'll leave with specific instructions about when you can wash it.
Who it's best for
Short hair that frizzes, puffs up in humidity or takes a long time to style smooth. It works on wavy, curly and coarse hair, and on colour-treated hair — tell your stylist about your colour history at the consultation.
Caring for it at home
The first few days matter most: follow your stylist's guidance on when to wash. After that, use a sulphate-free shampoo exclusively, as sulphates break the treatment down quickly. Chlorine and salt water shorten it too.
A full keratin treatment typically lasts around three months on short hair.
Tips from our stylists
- Switch to a sulphate-free shampoo before your appointment so you're ready
- Follow the no-wash period exactly — it's what sets the treatment
- Ask your stylist about swimming; chlorine is hard on keratin
- Book alongside a cut so the shape suits your newly smoother hair
