About this service

The classic full facial: a proper cleanse, exfoliation, steam, extractions where needed, a mask, facial massage and moisturiser. An hour that covers everything a healthy skin routine can't do at home.

Extractions are the part most people notice the difference from — congested pores cleared professionally rather than picked at. Steam softens the skin first so extractions are as comfortable as they can be.

Every facial starts with a skin consultation, and your esthetician will adjust the products and steps to what your skin actually needs on the day. Please tell us about any medication, recent treatments, allergies, or if you're pregnant, as some products and steps may need to be changed or left out.

What's included

  • Skin consultation and analysis
  • Double cleanse and exfoliation
  • Steam to soften the skin
  • Extractions where appropriate
  • Facial massage
  • Mask suited to your skin, then moisturiser and SPF

What to expect at your appointment

Allow an hour. After a consultation your esthetician cleanses and exfoliates, then steams your skin to soften it.

Extractions are done where needed — some areas can feel sharp, and your esthetician will stop if you ask. A relaxing facial massage follows, then a mask, moisturiser and SPF.

Redness after extractions is normal for a few hours.

Who it's best for

Anyone wanting a thorough general facial, especially with congestion or blackheads. It's the sensible starting point if you're unsure which facial you need — your esthetician can recommend where to go next.

Caring for it at home

Avoid makeup for the rest of the day if possible, and skip the gym, sauna and swimming pool that evening. No exfoliating acids or retinoids for 24 hours.

Don't pick at any areas that were extracted. The best results come from what you do between appointments: a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser suited to your skin, and daily sunscreen. Sunscreen matters more than any single product you can buy.

Tips from our stylists

  • Come with clean skin, no makeup if possible
  • Say if extractions become uncomfortable — your esthetician will stop
  • Don't book a facial the day before an important event; allow a few days
  • Skip retinoids for two days beforehand
  • Every four to six weeks keeps congestion under control

Common questions

Do extractions hurt?
Some areas feel sharp, especially around the nose. Steam softens the skin first and your esthetician will stop if you ask.
Will I break out afterwards?
Some skins purge slightly after extractions. It settles within a few days, which is why we suggest not booking right before an event.
How often should I have a facial?
Every four to six weeks suits most skins.
How long does it take?
An hour.
