About this service

Brow lamination is a chemical setting process that softens the brow hairs so they can be brushed into a new direction and then set there. Hairs that grow downwards or sideways are lifted upwards, which makes brows look fuller, fluffier and noticeably more even — without adding any colour.

Offered on-site by Charm Brows & Beauty.

It's the treatment behind the brushed-up brow look, and it works best on brows that have hair but grow awkwardly. If your brows are genuinely sparse, adding tint or airbrush alongside gives more visible fullness.

What's included

  • Consultation about the shape and how brushed-up you want them
  • Brow hairs cleansed and prepared
  • Lifting solution applied and the hairs brushed into position
  • Setting solution to hold the new direction
  • Nourishing balm to condition the hairs afterwards
  • Aftercare advice

What to expect at your appointment

Allow about an hour. Your therapist talks through how dramatic you want the lift, then cleanses the brows.

The lifting solution is applied and the hairs combed into their new direction, left to process, then set. A conditioning balm finishes the treatment. Mild redness around the brows can occur and settles quickly.

Who it's best for

Brows with hair that grows downwards, sideways or in different directions, and anyone who wants a fuller, brushed-up look. It's not suitable if your brow hairs are very brittle or if you have broken or irritated skin in the area — tell your therapist about retinoids or acid exfoliants beforehand.

Caring for it at home

For the first 24 hours keep the brows completely dry — no water, steam, sweat or products — and don't touch or brush them. After that, brush them into shape each morning and use a brow serum or a drop of oil at night to keep the hairs conditioned, since the lifting process is drying.

Lamination lasts around six weeks. Don't laminate more often than that; over-processing makes brow hair brittle.

Tips from our stylists

  • Keep brows dry and untouched for the first 24 hours
  • Brush them into place each morning — that's how the shape is maintained
  • Use a brow serum or a little oil at night to keep the hairs conditioned
  • Don't book lamination more often than every six weeks
  • Tell your therapist if your brow hairs feel dry or brittle before starting

Common questions

How long does brow lamination last?
Around six weeks. It fades gradually as the hairs return to their natural direction.
Does it add colour?
No — lamination only changes the direction of the hair. Add a tint or airbrush if you want colour too.
Will it damage my brow hairs?
It's a chemical process, so it is drying. Conditioning them at home and not over-processing keeps them healthy.
Can I do it if my brows are very sparse?
Lamination lifts existing hair; it can't create it. Combining it with tint or airbrush gives a fuller effect.
How long does it take?
About an hour.
