About this service
An hour of pure manual work — no peels, no devices, no actives to react to. Facial massage stimulates circulation and releases tension through the jaw, temples and brow, while lymphatic drainage uses light, rhythmic strokes to encourage fluid away from the face.
The drainage is what people notice: a visible reduction in puffiness, particularly around the eyes and jawline, and a more defined-looking face afterwards. The effect is temporary but immediate.
It's also genuinely relaxing, and it suits skin that's too sensitive or over-treated for active facials.
Every treatment starts with a consultation. Please tell us about any medication, recent treatments, allergies, or if you're pregnant, as some steps may need to be adjusted.
What's included
- Consultation about tension, puffiness and any sensitivities
- Gentle cleanse
- Facial massage through the face, jaw, temples and scalp
- Lymphatic drainage sequence with light rhythmic strokes
- Neck and décolleté included
- Moisturiser and SPF
What to expect at your appointment
Allow an hour. After a brief cleanse, your esthetician works through a full facial massage — firmer through the jaw and temples where tension sits — followed by the drainage sequence, which is deliberately very light.
The neck and décolleté are included. Moisturiser and sunscreen finish. Your face will look less puffy and more defined straight away, and many people fall asleep during it.
Who it's best for
Puffiness, fluid retention, jaw tension and teeth grinding, and anyone with sensitive or over-treated skin who can't tolerate actives. Not suitable if you have an active infection, recent facial surgery, or any lymphatic condition — check with your doctor first in that case.
Caring for it at home
Drink water afterwards and avoid a lot of salt and alcohol that evening if you want the de-puffing to hold.
There are no restrictions otherwise — you can wear makeup immediately. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated helps with morning puffiness generally.
Tips from our stylists
- Book it the morning before an event for a de-puffed, defined look
- Drink water and go easy on salt and alcohol afterwards
- A good option if your skin is sensitive or over-treated
- Ask your esthetician to show you a simple drainage routine for home
- Sleep with your head slightly elevated if you wake up puffy
Common questions
- How long does the de-puffing last?
- Typically a day or two. It's an immediate but temporary effect.
- Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
- Yes — it's entirely manual with no actives, peels or devices, which makes it ideal for reactive or over-treated skin.
- Is it relaxing?
- Very. Most people find it the most relaxing treatment we offer.
- Any reason I shouldn't have it?
- Active infection, recent facial surgery, or a lymphatic condition — check with your doctor in that case.
