About this service

A hydrofacial uses a vacuum-based device that cleanses, exfoliates and extracts while simultaneously infusing hydrating and nourishing serums into the skin. The suction lifts debris out of pores without the manual pressure of traditional extractions.

It's popular because there's essentially no downtime — skin looks plumped and clear immediately rather than red and tender — which makes it the go-to facial before an event.

Every facial starts with a skin consultation, and your esthetician will adjust the products and steps to what your skin actually needs on the day. Please tell us about any medication, recent treatments, allergies, or if you're pregnant, as some products and steps may need to be changed or left out.

What's included

  • Skin consultation and analysis
  • Device-based cleanse and exfoliation
  • Vacuum extraction to clear pores
  • Hydrating serum infusion
  • Finishing serums, moisturiser and SPF

What to expect at your appointment

Allow an hour. Your esthetician works over your face with the device in stages — cleansing and exfoliating first, then the extraction pass, then the infusion.

The sensation is a cool, slightly ticklish suction rather than anything uncomfortable. Skin looks brighter and feels plumped immediately, with little to no redness.

Who it's best for

Almost all skin types, including congested, dull and dehydrated skin. It's the best choice when you need visible results the same day with no downtime. Not suitable on actively inflamed or broken skin, or if you're using isotretinoin — tell us beforehand.

Caring for it at home

You can wear makeup the same day, though your skin looks good enough that many people don't. Use sunscreen, and skip acids and retinoids for 24 hours.

The best results come from what you do between appointments: a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser suited to your skin, and daily sunscreen. Sunscreen matters more than any single product you can buy. Monthly treatments keep skin consistently clear.

Tips from our stylists

  • This is the facial to book before an event — there's no downtime
  • Come with clean skin if you can
  • Monthly is a good rhythm if you want consistent results
  • Tell us about isotretinoin or prescription retinoids beforehand
  • Ask your esthetician which serums were used if you liked the result
