from $150

Combined highlights and lowlights for depth and dimension

Request This Service

About this service

The same combination of light and deep pieces as a full head, but concentrated where it shows most — the top section, your parting and around your face. The back and interior keep your existing colour.

It's the practical middle ground: you get real dimension where people see it, in a shorter appointment and at a lower cost than the full head.

What's included

  • Consultation about contrast and placement
  • Highlights and lowlights woven through the top, sides and face-framing sections
  • Development monitored for both processes
  • Toner or gloss to blend the tones
  • Shampoo, conditioning treatment and blow-dry finish
  • Home care advice

What to expect at your appointment

Allow around two and a half hours. Your stylist checks how you part and wear your hair, then weaves both lighter and deeper sections through the top, sides and hairline.

After development everything is rinsed, toned, treated and blow-dried.

Who it's best for

Anyone who wants dimension around the face and parting without full-head coverage, and anyone maintaining a dimensional colour between bigger appointments. It suits fine hair particularly well, where contrast reads as thickness.

Caring for it at home

Use sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo and conditioner with a weekly mask, and use toning shampoo sparingly so the lowlights stay rich. Heat protectant before styling.

Most people return every eight to ten weeks.

Tips from our stylists

  • Part your hair as you normally wear it when you arrive
  • Ask for more contrast around the face if you want the effect to be obvious
  • Alternate partial and full appointments to spread out cost
  • Use purple shampoo sparingly to protect the deeper tones

Common questions

How is this different from the full version?
This covers the top, parting and face-framing sections. The full version includes the back and interior of your hair.
Is it enough to look dimensional?
For most people, yes — it covers the sections that are actually visible. If you wear your hair up frequently, your stylist may suggest the full head.
How often should I book?
Every eight to ten weeks.
How long does it take?
Around two and a half hours.
