About this service

A facial designed around teenage skin, which behaves differently from adult skin — more oil, more congestion, and often more frustration. The focus is on gentle deep cleansing, safe extractions and, importantly, teaching a routine that works.

The education is half the value. Most teenage skin problems are made worse by over-washing, harsh scrubs and picking, and a good facial appointment is a chance to hear what actually helps from someone who isn't a parent.

Every facial starts with a skin consultation, and your esthetician will adjust the products and steps to what your skin actually needs on the day. Please tell us about any medication, recent treatments, allergies, or if you're pregnant, as some products and steps may need to be changed or left out.

What's included

  • Skin consultation covering current habits and products
  • Gentle double cleanse
  • Exfoliation appropriate for young skin
  • Steam and careful extractions
  • Calming mask and light moisturiser with SPF
  • A simple, realistic home routine explained

What to expect at your appointment

Allow an hour. Your esthetician talks through what the skin is doing and what's being used on it at home, then cleanses, exfoliates and steams.

Extractions are done gently and carefully. A calming mask, light moisturiser and SPF finish the appointment, along with clear, straightforward advice on a home routine.

Who it's best for

Teenagers with oily, congested or breakout-prone skin. If acne is severe, painful or cystic, please also see a doctor or dermatologist — facials help with congestion and skin habits but are not a medical treatment for acne.

Caring for it at home

No picking — this is the single most important rule and the hardest one. Avoid makeup that day, keep hands off the face, and don't scrub.

Wash twice a day with a gentle cleanser, moisturise even if the skin is oily, and wear sunscreen. Over-washing and harsh products make oily skin worse, not better.

Tips from our stylists

  • Bring the products currently being used so your esthetician can review them
  • Stop using scrubs and harsh cleansers — they make oily skin worse
  • Moisturise even if the skin is oily
  • Change pillowcases regularly and keep hands off the face
  • See a doctor as well if acne is painful or cystic
