About this service
Chin waxing removes hair from the chin and jaw area, whether that's a few stubborn coarse hairs or more general growth. It takes a few minutes and lasts far longer than shaving or tweezing.
Your therapist works around the contour of your jaw so nothing is missed along the edge.
Offered on-site by Charm Brows & Beauty.
What's included
- Skin cleansed and prepared
- Wax applied and removed across the chin and jaw area
- Tweezing of any remaining coarse hairs
- Soothing product applied afterwards
- Aftercare advice
What to expect at your appointment
Allow about 10 minutes. Your therapist cleanses the area, works across the chin in sections with wax, and tweezes any strays that the wax didn't take.
Soothing product is applied at the end. Brief redness is normal and settles quickly.
Who it's best for
Anyone with unwanted chin or jawline hair. If growth has changed noticeably or suddenly, it's worth mentioning to a doctor, as hormonal changes can be the cause. Tell your therapist if you use retinoids, acid exfoliants or acne medication before booking.
Caring for it at home
For 24 hours, avoid makeup on the area, exfoliating, sauna and steam, sun exposure and active skincare. Keep the area clean and try not to touch it — hands transfer bacteria to freshly waxed skin.
Most people return every three to four weeks.
Tips from our stylists
- Let hair grow for a couple of weeks before your appointment
- Stop tweezing between appointments so growth is even
- Pause retinoids and acids and mention them to your therapist
- Keep makeup off the area for 24 hours
- Speak to a doctor if chin hair growth has changed suddenly
