About this service
A natural makeup application is about looking like yourself on a good day. Skin is evened out rather than covered, features are gently defined, and the finish stays soft — nothing that reads as 'done' from across the room.
Your artist works with your own colouring and skin, matching shades to you rather than applying a formula. It photographs well precisely because it isn't heavy.
What's included
- Consultation about the look you want and your skin
- Skin prep and primer suited to your skin type
- Light, evened base with targeted concealing
- Soft eye definition, brows and lashes
- Natural cheek and lip colour
- Setting so the look lasts through the day
What to expect at your appointment
Allow about an hour. Your artist talks through the look and checks your skin, then preps and primes.
The base goes on lightly, followed by soft definition on the eyes, brows, cheeks and lips. Everything is set so it holds, and your artist will show you the finished look in good light before you leave.
Who it's best for
Daytime events, work occasions, portraits, engagement shoots, or anyone who wants to look polished without feeling made up. It's also a good choice if you rarely wear makeup and don't want to feel like you're wearing a mask.
Caring for it at home
Blot rather than powder over the top during the day, and carry the lip colour if you want to top it up. Remove it properly at night with a gentle cleanser rather than a wipe.
If you'd like to recreate it yourself, ask your artist which products they used as they work.
Tips from our stylists
- Arrive with clean, moisturised skin and no makeup on
- Bring a photo of the level of coverage you're comfortable with
- Tell your artist about any sensitivities or products you know you react to
- Ask what's being used if you want to recreate the look at home
- Book lash or brow services a day or two beforehand rather than the same morning
