Blow Dry & Styling

This is a blow dry with a finished style on top. Your hair is shampooed and dried smooth first, then shaped with hot tools or a brush into the look you want — soft waves, a sleek finish, bouncy volume or a defined bend through the ends.

Because the styling is built on a properly dried base, it holds far better than curling or straightening hair that's been dried in a hurry at home.

Allow about 45 minutes. Your stylist will talk through the finish you want before starting, then shampoo and blow-dry your hair smooth.

The style is then built with a curling iron, wand, straightener or brush depending on the look, and set with a light finishing product.

Events, photographs, dates and any day you want your hair to look genuinely done. It's also a good option if you like a particular finish but can never quite achieve it yourself.

Keep the style dry and touch it as little as possible. Loosely pin waves up at night or sleep on silk, refresh the roots with dry shampoo on day two, and use a light hairspray rather than a heavy one so the movement doesn't stiffen.

A styled blow dry typically holds for two to four days.
